Students in the spring semester course at Widener University titled Tropical Ecology Laboratory recently spent spring break conducting a lab in Peru. They examined the microclimate of the rainforest, looking at temperature profiles at different levels within the forest and also looking at how storms affect the microclimatic characteristics.

The course commenced January 2 with a trip to developing areas within the state of Puebla, Mexico.
