Widener University students traveled to Costa Rica for a winter break trip from Dec. 29 - Jan. 7. Led by Professors Stephen Madigosky and Beatriz Urraca, the students learned about coffee production and the culture of Costa Rica.

Ten students in the Widener University School of Business Administration's Center for Hospitality Management traveled to San Francisco from March 2 - 6 for the 91st Club Managers Association of America World Conference. The event drew approximately 300 students and over 2,000 club managers for five days of networking and education, as well as learning about the latest innovations and trends in the industry.

The course commenced January 2 with a trip to developing areas within the state of Puebla, Mexico. The trip largely focused on the role of indigenous women in the development of the region and the range of challenges faced by these women, who are oppressed both because of their sex and because of their ethnicity.

They traveled to the Lake District in North West England, Wordsworth's birthplace and the inspiration for much of his writing, to attend the 43rd Wordsworth Summer Conference.
