Widener Law recognizes Wilson A. Gualpa of Seaford for achievement

Widener University School of Law held its annual Student Awards Ceremony for the Delaware campus on Wednesday, April 15. Awards were handed out in the school's Ruby R. Vale Moot Courtroom. The honorees included:

Wilson A. Gualpa of Seaford, Del., 19973.

He received the Honey F. Golby Memorial Scholarship, awarded in memory of Honey F. Golby, a member of the class of ’76, based on scholastic excellence, as well as participation in school and community service. He also received an outstanding student service award, given annually to graduating students who have been actively involved in the Widener community and who have been of outstanding service to the school. Finally, he received the Harvey Alan Chernoff Memorial Scholarship, which recognizes the achievements of an advanced-standing student who excels in the area of constitutional law and who demonstrates an interest in pro-bono legal work. It was established in 1983 to honor the memory of a former student, Harvey Chernoff.

Gualpa will graduate May 16. He plans to take the Delaware and New Jersey bar exams. He is the son of Agustin and Ana Gualpa of Seaford, Del.
