Widener Law recognizes Michael D. Casari Jr. of Hazleton for achievement

Widener University School of Law held its annual Student Awards Ceremony for the Harrisburg, Pa. campus on Tuesday, April 28. Awards were handed out in the administration building moot courtroom. The honorees included:

Michael D. Casari Jr. of Hazleton, Pa., 18201.

He received the Alfred Avins Memorial Scholarship, given to the student with the highest combined average in Constitutional Law. He also received the John A. Fillion Memorial Award, given to the graduate who, in the opinion of the faculty, has demonstrated by scholarship and professionalism a likelihood of making a significant contribution to labor and employment law.

Casari will graduate May 17 and plans to take the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bar exams. He is the son of Michael Casari Sr. of Hazleton and Cherie (Scheers) Gudz of Weatherly, Pa.
