Widener Law recognizes Michael B. Cooksey of Wilmington for achievement

Widener University School of Law held its annual Student Awards Ceremony for the Delaware campus on Wednesday, April 15. Awards were handed out in the school's Ruby R. Vale Moot Courtroom. The honorees included:

Michael B. Cooksey of Wilmington, Del., 19805.

He received the Nancy and Howard Finkelman Scholarship, given to a married extended-division student based on good standing, financial need, successful completion of evidence and at least one elective in trial advocacy.

Cooksey will graduate May 16 and plans to take the New Jersey and Delaware bar exams. He wants to work in insurance defense law. He is married to Lauren Cooksey and is the son of Michael and Susan Cooksey of Eatonton, Ga.
