Viraga Perera of Chester Inducted into Physics Honor Society at Widener University

Students from the area were inducted into academic honor societies during Widener University's 2014 Honors Week.

Viraga Perera, a Widener University senior Electrical Engineering/Physics major from Chester, Pa. was recognized as a member of the Sigma Pi Sigma Physics Honor Society.

Sigma Pi Sigma exists to honor outstanding scholarship in physics; to encourage interest in physics among students at all levels; to promote an attitude of service of its members towards their fellow students, colleagues and the public; and to provide a fellowship of persons who have excelled in physics.
