Rosemarie Walker of Brookhaven Inducted into Lambda Pi Eta at Widener University

Chester, Pa. - Students from the area were inducted into academic honor societies during Widener University's 2014 Honors Week.

Rosemarie Walker, a Widener University junior communication studies major from Brookhaven, Pa., was recognized as a member of the Lambda Pi Eta National Honor Society.

Lambda Pi Eta is the National Communication Association's official honor society at four-year colleges and universities.

Lambda Pi Eta has six goals:

Recognize, foster, and reward outstanding scholastic achievement in communication studies; Stimulate interest in the field of communication; Promote and encourage professional development among communication majors; Provide an opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas in the field of communication; Establish and maintain closer relationships between faculty and students; and Explore options for graduate education in communication studies.
