Lloyd Flores of Columbus, N.J. Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army

Lloyd Flores of Columbus, N.J., was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Dauntless Battalion ROTC Commissioning Ceremony at Widener University on May 15. Flores will graduate from Widener on May 21 with a bachelor's degree in political science.

Flores will enter the Army as a branch-detailed infantry officer before transitioning to a Signal Corps officer. He will begin active duty at the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course at Fort Benning, Ga.

He had his rank pinned on by his parents, Lloyd Flores and Kimberly Morris-Flores.
