Katherine Costlow of Harrisburg honored at Widener Law student awards ceremony

The Widener Law campus in Harrisburg, Pa. held its annual student awards ceremony Thursday, April 24 in the school administration building. The annual event honors students for academic and leadership achievements.

Widener University President James T. Harris III attended the program and told students their accomplishments, amid the rigors of law school, are remarkable. Law, he said, is one of the "highest callings."

"There is always a need for justice. Lawyers make sure justice gets served," Harris said.

Those honored included:

Katherine A. Costlow, of Harrisburg, Pa., 17110.

She received a commercial bar review provider award, and was named the outstanding executive board member of the Moot Court Honor Society.

Costlow will graduate May 18, 2014. She plans to take the Pennsylvania bar exam.

She is the daughter of Thomas Costlow of Johnstown, Pa. and Susan Costlow of Tire Hill, Pa.
