Joseph Kiehl of Leola, PA earns graduate degree from Widener University

Widener University conferred degrees to more than 400 graduate students in a ceremony Friday, May 19. Commencement was held on Memorial Field at the university.

Dr. Kimberlyn Leary, associate professor of psychology at Harvard Medical School, and associate professor of health policy and management at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, was the commencement speaker. She is also senior advisor to the CEO at the National Math and Science Initiative. As a Robert Wood Johnson health policy fellow, she formerly served as an advisor to the White House Council on Women and Girls, and as an advisor to the White House Office of Management and Budget's Health Division in the Public Health and Medicare branches.

The university presented her with a Doctor of Public Service honorary degree.

The graduates included:

Joseph Kiehl of Leola, PA, 17540. Kiehl received a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the School of Human Service Professions.
