Joseph Colonna of Etters Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army

Joseph Colonna of Etters, Pa. , was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Dauntless Battalion ROTC Commissioning Ceremony at Widener University on May 14. Colonna graduated from Widener on May 16 with a bachelor's degree in criminal Justice.

Colonna will enter active duty as a Gold Bar recruiter at Temple University, followed by the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course at Fort Benning, Ga.

He had his rank pinned on by his mother and step-father, Irene and Chad Lovato.
