Jay Kanaparthi of Holmdel Travels to Costa Rica on Widener University Study Abroad Trip

Jay Kanaparthi from Holmdel, N.J., a sophomore Biology major at Widener University in Chester, Pa., recently spent the winter break studying in Costa Rica. Kanaparthi traveled to Costa Rica as part of a study abroad trip involving both environmental science and business classes.

The main focus for the students was on sustainable development in the tropics.

Kanaparthi spent significant time in Costa Rica at Las Lajas Farms, which produces the beans used for Widener's own organic, bird-friendly coffee, WU Brew.
