Benjamin Dungan of Lumberton Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army

Benjamin Dungan of Lumberton, N.J., was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Dauntless Battalion ROTC Commissioning Ceremony at Widener University on May 14. Dungan graduated from Widener on May 16 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education.

Dungan will enter active duty in the Military Intelligence Basic Officer Leader Courst at at Fort Huachuca, Ariz., followed by the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.

He had his rank pinned on by his parents, Leo and Delia Dungan.
